The Map of Small Disasters
adventure◐ Teen6 contributors · 4 paragraphs deep
The GPS brought me to an old house in the middle of nowhere. Weathered, empty-looking, windows dark. There was a mailbox with a name: Harrison. I didn't recognize it. But the star was right here, marked three times in thick pen.
I sat in the car and called the name on the mailbox into Google. A man named Harrison had died in a car accident. Twenty years ago. At this exact intersection. The date was the day after my fifth birthday.
