Mrs. Pratt pulls out her phone. 'I have a camera. For the foxes.' She opens the app. Pulls up last night's footage. Her face changes. 'Oh no. Oh—no, look at this.'

'The footage is corrupted,' Mrs. Pratt says. Her voice sounds wrong. 'Look. There's a blur here. And here. And here. Like something is erasing itself. Frame by frame. Intentionally. On purpose. Look.'

Mrs. Pratt closes the phone. 'Someone—or something—is hiding what happened.' She looks at the corrupted frames. 'Persons don't move like that. Frame by frame. Intentionally erasing itself.' Her voice drops. 'This isn't a person covering it up. Whatever moved that pumpkin... it knows how to hide.'
