'Cordelia's my aunt,' the man said. 'She moved to the coast last spring. I'm Jonah, I just rent the place now.' He looked at the looping handwriting and his face went soft. 'That's Theo's writing. He's been trying to reach her for years.' Wren leaned in. 'Do you know how to find either of them?'

Jonah invited Wren in for tea while they searched online. They spent the whole afternoon hunting for Theo and Cordelia, laughing at dead ends, sharing snacks. By evening they'd found nothing, but Jonah walked her home anyway. 'Same time tomorrow?' he asked. Wren realized the search had become an excuse to keep seeing him.

The next day, Jonah's aunt called with Cordelia's new number on the coast. Wren and Jonah set up a video call, and Theo and Cordelia saw each other's faces for the first time in three years. Both old friends cried. When the call ended, Jonah took Wren's hand. 'We make a good team,' he said. Wren agreed, and the wrong letter felt like the luckiest mistake of her life.
