Eli kept the flyer. He'd always thought the route was just his job. Now he saw it was a lifeline for the whole street. With three nights left, he made a decision: he wouldn't go quietly. He'd help them fight, even if it was already too late.

Eli helped them write letters and gather names. With two nights left, they marched the petition to the depot. It wasn't enough to keep the route, but the board was moved. They promised a replacement van for the elderly riders. Eli's last fight had won them something real.
