Nadia spots a thin string tied to the pumpkin, running off into the dark. She follows it and finds Theo Lim crouched in the shadows, reeling it in like a fish. He's been tugging it along from his hiding spot the whole time. Caught.
Theo begs Nadia not to tell. Instead she makes him roll the pumpkin home that night and own up the next day. He does, and Mr. Okafor just chuckles and ruffles his hair. Nadia writes 'solved' and underlines it twice.
