Theo and Priya freeze in the flashlight beam. 'We just wanted to win the contest for Mr. Okafor as a surprise,' Theo blurts. 'We thought the strawberry bed got more sun.' It was a silly plan, but a kind one. Nadia can't even be mad.
Nadia helps the kids roll the pumpkin back before sunrise so the beds look normal again. But she makes them promise to confess. They do, the very next day, and Mr. Okafor forgives them on the spot. Nadia writes 'solved, and nobody even got in trouble' and grins.
