In the morning Theo set both versions side by side on the laptop. Marcus read them slowly with his good hand on the trackpad. He stopped at the true one, the one about quitting the team and being scared to tell anyone. "This is the one," he whispered.
They submitted the true essay together, Marcus dictating tiny fixes while Theo typed. Weeks later the acceptance came. Marcus pinned the letter to the wall and pointed at it. "That got in because of you." Theo just grinned. "No. Because of you. I only typed."
