Theo shook Marcus awake. "I can't write this for you. It's your college, your future." Marcus blinked, foggy and slow. "Just finish it, please. I trust you." Then he was out again. Theo sat there, stuck between waking him a second time and just doing it himself.
Theo took "I trust you" as permission and submitted the football essay on his own. Marcus woke up to a confirmation email he didn't write. "You sent it already?" he asked, half grateful, half uneasy about words he'd never actually read. Theo handed him the laptop. "Read it now. If you hate it, I'll fix it." Marcus read it, sighed, and let it stand.
