Pip joined the two halves on the counter. The full map showed a route ending at a lighthouse, with a tiny drawing of a key beside it. Mr. Alvi gasped. "My grandfather's lighthouse key. Nobody ever found where he hid it." He grabbed his coat. "Let's go together, right now."
Pip, Biscuit, and Mr. Alvi reached the lighthouse and found the hidden key tucked in a hollow brick, just as the map promised. The key opened the lamp room, where the great lantern still worked. That night they lit it, and for the first time in years the lighthouse shone across the bay.
