"Don't," Mara says. Just that. Theo and Diane both look at her. Mara's hands are shaking a little. "Something's wrong about this. If he wanted us to have them, he would've given them to us."
"Let's all think about it," Theo says. "We're not in the right headspace." Mara nods. Diane looks like she wants to argue, but she's exhausted. They agree to meet back here tomorrow at noon. Mara knows Diane won't wait. She just knows it.
