Theo's already on his phone, scrolling for the estate lawyer's number. "We don't touch anything until we know what the legal situation is," he says. Very Theo. Always the one thinking three steps ahead. "These could be evidence of something."

The lawyer arrives in a gray suit, carrying a leather briefcase like something out of a movie that none of them wanted to be in. He sits at the kitchen table and listens to them explain. He doesn't write anything down. When they finish, he sighs. "You need to listen to all of them. Before anything else."
