I zoom in on my phone. The light isn't just on—it's flashing at EXACT intervals. I count: 47 seconds between each flash. Every. Single. Time. That's not a bulb someone lit. That's a system running on something.

I call the harbor master. 'Hi, is the old lighthouse safe?' Long silence. 'We don't discuss the lighthouse, miss. Best you avoid that area.' She hangs up. The town knows someone is in there. They've known the whole time.
