dramaEveryone

A woman boards at the next stop. Young. Soaked. Broken umbrella. She sits two rows back. 'Driver, did you see anyone trying to catch this bus? Around Elm Street?' My stomach drops. How does she know?

'My grandmother took this bus every year on the first night of winter. Just the one night. She said it was her night.' I grip the wheel. 'What do you mean, was?' She doesn't answer.
